Internet Explorer is a Thief September 16th, 2010

We all know that browsers apply default styles to all web pages. These default styles usually include a padding and/or margin around the HTML body.

I was reading the IE Blog the other day and came across the article, Making Sites Look Their Best in Standards Mode.

As it turns out IE adds a 2 pixel beveled border around the HTML body tag. That means that four pixel of width are being wasted on an ugly border that for years I thought was part of the default IE window. How lame!
